Finnair, the leading airline between Europe and Asia, continues its journey towards modern and efficient distribution by launching a new online booking tool for group travel agent partners.
“Our simple aim is to be more efficient and serve our group travel agent partners better and faster in the future”, says Mikko Turtiainen, Vice President of Finnair’s global sales. ”The new group travel platform gives our agent partners access to availability and instant fare quoting as well as more control in the selling process. Once the international travel starts to recover and borders open, we want to be in the frontline with the best tools for our agent partners.”
The new Finnair Group Travel platform is available for IATA agents and is accessible 24/7. The new platform is launched in phases; the service is available first for Finnish and Scandinavian agents in May with rest of the markets following in June 2021.
The new Finnair Group Travel platform has been developed together with Calrom, a UK-based travel and airline technology partner. Calrom’s Chief Technology Officer, Simon Wilkins said: “We’re delighted that Finnair chose to modernise their fare distribution with the support of our Groups Next Gen (GNG) software. GNG has proven to enhance productivity and satisfaction with travel organisers, who are empowered to manage their own booking cycles and take action in an instant – which we know Finnair’s travel agent partners will value”.
More information and access to Finnair Group Travel platform can be found under Group Travel on Finnair Easy at http://easy.finnair.com (select your country at the top of the page).
